The Royal Wedding

Prince William is finally married to Catherine Middleton on 29th April 2011 at Westminster Abbey 11am London time!!!
Such a beautiful couple... I love her wedding dress... Simple, lacy and no long trails!!!! It's so beautiful... Now I feel like getting a wedding gown something like hers! LOL!

So, by the way, I'm kinda blogging in frustration 'cuz I couldn't see it live yesterday!!!!! Arghhhhh!!!! I wanted to watch but my connection was soooo slow... The connection was fast before my exam (yes, I had Spectroscopy exam before the wedding which finished at 5.30pm! Wedding started at 6pm M'sian time). I rushed back after my exam and my internet connection was slow for live streaming.. So disappointing! Then, I went to the area near KTF Office, the line there was slow too.. Then back to my room with frustration, thinking what to do... Didn't know there actually aired it on NTV7! There isn't any TV anyway...
Then, I wanted to go the library.. But it was quite far. So, I went to KTHO and thank God the line was fast there! If I'd known, I would have been there earlier. Unfortunately, the wedding ceremony had ended and was proceeding with the procession back to the Buckingham Palace. And that's all I got to see with the live streaming and of course the kiss at the balcony!!!

And right until now, sadly speaking, I haven't watched the ceremony since my internet connection is so down.. I guess maybe I'll have to watch it back at home - which is in one week's time!! Luckily I just didn't die for not watching the Royal Wedding! Did I mention that I'm a fan of Prince William and Kate? And I love weddings!!! And this one is a Royal one.

=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=

Some of you maybe thinking now "what so great about the wedding?"
I'll tell you:
  1. It's a Royal Wedding... It's R.O.Y.A.L. Period. Got it? Royal! It's not easy to watch a Royal Wedding live!
  2. It's PRINCE WILLIAM and KATE for God's sake!
  3. It's a wedding and wedding are always beautiful - the setting, the lighting, the choir, the procession. Basically the whole thing. And most importantly what makes a wedding so beautiful is that it is a union of two people in Holy Matrimony constituted by Christ himself!
  4. There's always a great love story in (almost) every couple and each story is unique with their own spice of life.
  5. I personally feel happy for couples who are engaged or married whether I know the couple or not. It's something to celebrate - of course I feel happy!

And there you go. Five reason about "what so great about the wedding."
I feel like there are a lot more reasons (which I cannot think of anymore right now.. Haha..)

HAVE A NICE DAY!

Rejoice for He Has Risen!

Father's sermon for Easter Vigil today was qouted from Napoleon's words:
Plato lived and died.
Aristotle lived and died.
Confucius lived and died.
And many more lived and died.
We live and die.

But CHRIST DIED AND LIVES!!!

He has risen indeed! Alleluia!

Have A Blessed and Holy Easter

Dead, Killed and ....

...and I dunno... What the hell???
I just had my electromagnetism (EM) Test 2 and guess what??
I submitted basically a blank paper.
Well, of course I didn't leave it blank. But I didn't know what to answer or how to answer. So, for some questions, I just extracted the information from the question so that my paper doesn't look blank. But actually, it's not answering any questions at all...

Answers for EM Test 2 ≈ Blank paper

And today, it's just the last day of lecture. Entering study week now and then exam week, with my first paper next Friday. OMG! It's totally freaking me out.

And yeah, I know I haven't blogged for quite awhile. I just didn't seems to have anything to share or blog about until today, where I come back and blog about my frustration towards EM. Lame isn't it? But then, who the hell cares? No one really reads my blog. So, I'll just spill anything, anytime just like my blog says "Time to Spill."

Alright, before I brag, or blog, or blab, I think I better go.

Bye. Signing off for now....

Japan's Earthquake and Tsunami

Japan's Earthquake of 8.9/9.0 on the Ritcher scale has caused Earth's axis to tilt 25cm! How shocking is that?!

"The tsunami that slammed into Japan's eastern coast comes just two days after warnings that the movement of the moon could trigger unpredictable events on Earth.

Astrologers predicted that on March 19 - a week today - the so-called 'supermoon' will be closer to Earth than at any time since 1992, just 221,567 miles away, and that its gravitational pull will bring chaos to Earth.

Coming just three weeks after the quake which devastated Christchurch in New Zealand, this latest disaster will only add fuel to their fire.

However the 'supermoon' date is still eight days away."

Will there be more disaster???

Whirlpool formed in Japan due to tsunami:

Also, swarms of fish are seen off the coast of Acapulco

Let's pray for those victims and hope no more after effects or any other terrible disasters across the globe.

PELTAC OC Recruitment Interview

So, I had my PELTAC Organizing Committee (OC) Interview today.
PELTAC stands for Professional, Engineering, Leadership, Teamwork and Awareness Camp.

Tentative camp date: February 2012
And this time, they are doing it internationally where they want students from overseas to come and join the camp. Wow!

So, about the interview, it went well I can say. Confidentally answering questions. (Hope I get through.) I felt good. Or maybe I felt good because of the formal dress code. LOL!

You know, sometimes I don't know why I don't really like to wear formal but once I wear it, I feel good. I guess that's the whole point of wearing formal. It makes youJustify Full feel good, like you're different from other people and you have your own potential and skills.
Best of all, it feels like all eyes are on you (uh-huh! -I simply love the attention but that's not the point). Wearing a black slack with a long-sleeved white shirt, carrying my handbag and walking heads-up confidently makes me feel like an executive or a CEO of my own company (as if I have one - well, someday)! It simply feels good. Ahh.... And I simply like the sound my shoes make when I'm walking.. Tap-tap-tap.... It's like "Get out of my way. I'm walking through" or "The princess is here. Please give way." Sounds good eh?

Hah! Ok, before I crap or flatter myself any longer (I'm not flattering! I'm just being confident), I think I should go now. That's about all. See ya' in my next blog post soon. Have a nice day =)

Fasting, Prayer, Almsgiving

So, the season of Lent has started and I'd like to share the message of Pope Benedict XVI for Lent 2011.

These are some text which I've extracted from his message.

"Through the traditional practices of fasting, almsgiving and prayer, which are an expression of our commitment to conversion, Lent teaches us how to live the love of Christ in an ever more radical way. Fasting, which can have various motivations, takes on a profoundly religious significance for the Christian: by rendering our table poorer, we learn to overcome selfishness in order to live in the logic of gift and love; by bearing some form of deprivation – and not just what is in excess – we learn to look away from our “ego”, to discover Someone close to us and to recognize God in the face of so many brothers and sisters. For Christians, fasting, far from being depressing, opens us ever more to God and to the needs of others, thus allowing love of God to become also love of our neighbor (cf. Mk 12: 31)."

"In our journey, we are often faced with the temptation of accumulating and love of money that undermine God’s primacy in our lives. The greed of possession leads to violence, exploitation and death; for this, the Church, especially during the Lenten period, reminds us to practice almsgiving – which is the capacity to share. The idolatry of goods, on the other hand, not only causes us to drift away from others, but divests man, making him unhappy, deceiving him, deluding him without fulfilling its promises, since it puts materialistic goods in the place of God, the only source of life."

"During the entire Lenten period, the Church offers us God’s Word with particular abundance. By meditating and internalizing the Word in order to live it every day, we learn a precious and irreplaceable form of prayer; by attentively listening to God, who continues to speak to our hearts, we nourish the itinerary of faith initiated on the day of our Baptism. Prayer also allows us to gain a new concept of time: without the perspective of eternity and transcendence, in fact, time simply directs our steps towards a horizon without a future. Instead, when we pray, we find time for God, to understand that his “words will not pass away” (cf. Mk 13: 31), to enter into that intimate communion with Him “that no one shall take from you” (Jn 16: 22), opening us to the hope that does not disappoint, eternal life."

"Through the personal encounter with our Redeemer and through fasting, almsgiving and prayer, the journey of conversion towards Easter leads us to rediscover our Baptism. This Lent, let us renew our acceptance of the Grace that God bestowed upon us at that moment, so that it may illuminate and guide all of our actions."

Have a blessed Lenten season!
