the Encounter

Haven't updated this blog for a very long time. But what happened today is worth recording

Dear diary,

Today was a good day.. Went for my interview in the morning, waited for my boyfriend to finish his exam and then attended a book publishing seminar. By the time the seminar ended, i was exhausted and freaking hungry. So, we went for dinner..

See, Selangor is some what a big place... And of all the places, at that particular shop in Kepong, I saw the face that would always make me happy. Fr. Stanley!!!! It's funny that he was there at that same shop. But to come to think of it, it was like meeting God at the end of a long,  exhausting day. It was good.

Good night..

Taurean Male vs. Arian Woman

As per the title, it's nice and good but sometimes it's sick! Now, let's compare the Taurean male & the Arian Woman.

Taurean Male
Arian Woman
A typical Taurus man comes across as a very calm, quiet, practical, composed, humble as well as levelheaded person. He takes one step at a time, that too after much deliberation. He is not the one who 'falls in the love at the first sight'. A Taurus male will take time to decide whether you are the person with whom he can spend his entire life. However, if he makes up his mind that you are the one for him, he will go to any lengths to win your love. These efforts include being romantic to the core, sending you flowers, writing poems for you, etc.

Personal experience with a Taurean: TRUE
But these people take a very very long time.. I hate it sometimes!

An Aries is always in a hurry and has to do everything right now.

This is me: TRUE
Taurean men are always protective of their loved ones and will be very gentle and pleasant towards them

TRUE – Thank you very much, dear... but read the next column
An Aries woman can survive even the toughest of circumstances alone and has the ability to come back even after the most gruesome tragedies. She can play the role of a female perfectly and, at the same time, can do everything that a man can do

TRUE - Which means sometimes I don’t need to be protected. I protect!
You may be given flowers every other day, taken to the most romantic place in the town and wished on all the important days of your life, like the first time you met the Taurean guy

TRUE
She seeks a man, but not the one who constantly chases her. The best way to woo her is to throw subtle hints, be a little detached and keep her wondering. Give her the impression that you can resist her charms and she will come rushing to you, to prove that she's desirable.
TRUE
Don't even think of going to your mom's flat for the weekend (OMG!!!!) You are his wife, he loves you and you have to live with him. A Taurus guy will also not tolerate outsiders interfering in his house, be it your mother or anyone else. He wants a girl who is close to him, but is not clinging on to him forever.

VERY VERY TRUE…. Aiyyooo
Aries woman wants to go out every now and then, doing new things and indulging in new activities.
He doesn't like spending money on unnecessary things

TRUE
She is quite extravagant and giving her the debit cards will mean an empty bank account

VERY TRUE
Other Things about Taurean you need to know (and it’s true from my experience):

·         He won't promise you the stars, but he will gift you the diamond necklace you saw in the jewelry shop two days back.

·         A Taurus man does not believe in taking chances and will always be prepared for the worst of circumstances.

·         He doesn't want a tomboyish wife (Jeez…)

·         He respects your intelligence, but don't make him feel embarrassed by contradicting his statements in public.

·         he is the boss of the house and come back to him when he asks you to

·         Just remember to make a Taurus man feel like the head of the family and let him handle all the responsibilities (sometimes I would like to have some responsibilities too). He will provide you a cozy nest, which will be full of love, warmth, care and concern

·         He is stubborn, but only when you provoke him. Otherwise, he is the most patient man you will ever find.

·         You have a real man besides you, who will wrap his arms around you, protect you & love you forever! 100% TRUE!!!
Other things you need to know about the Arian Woman (and it’s true for me):
·         Once she has committed to you, she will be extremely sentimental and very loyal.
·
Give her reasons to be proud of you, but do not forget to praise her for her talent too. Her expectations are too high, but she will also give you double in return.

·         She is very possessive and love is something she can never share. She can be very jealous even at the slightest of suspicion.

·         If an Aries girl gets hurt, she will become as cold as the ice in your fridge and this behavior may last an entire lifetime.

·         if you are good to her, she will be extremely kind, tender, loyal and supportive.

·         You will get plenty of reasons to be jealous when you are with an Aries female, since she is more comfortable with men than women. However, don't be suspicious of her, she would be really hurt. She is possessive, but she doesn't like to be possessed. She wants her freedom and your complete trust.

·         Remember, if she's committed to you, you have no reasons to doubt her loyalty and sincerity. An Aries woman is much too truthful to be involved with two people at the same time. She will first break up the relationship that is not working.

·         She is extremely passionate and believes in forever-lasting relationships.

·         An Aries girl is simple, innocent and very emotional.

·         Maximum chances are that she will continue her career even after marriage.

·         She loves challenges and believes in miracles. Though it sounds a little freaky, but miracles do happen in her case.

·         Just like a typical Aries, she never learns from her mistakes and is likely to fall in the same hole again.

·         For her love means sharing and that means sharing everything, right from her emotions and checkbook to your bank account.

·         Though she tries to show that she is very strong, she is as innocent and as vulnerable as a baby.

·         Be there to comfort her when she runs up to you after being disappointed with the world. If you stand up to her when she comes to you like this, you will never ever lose her. An Aries female will never forgive you if you fail to fight for her.

·         In return, she will always be there with you, even if she has to go against the whole world.

·         She will be a caring mother, who makes no unnecessary fuss and sparks children's imagination.

·         An Aries girl has a bad temper, but it will go away as quickly as it came and leave no grudges behind.

·         She is a complete woman, who gets hurt easily and is totally innocent.

·         Though she is a little impulsive and bossy, she will give you complete security, fight against the world for you and be yours forever!

Post-PELTAC 2012

Most of the time I was did not attend the workshop cuz I was too busy preparing for other upcoming stuffs…  I’d say that I learned a lot from PELTAC…. The bonding between our department mates and between departments got stronger…. One of the person I got to know better is Jewel…. Man, she is a jewel and she rocks… Oh, hell yeah!

Being in my final year, in fact my final semester, it  has been a very good experience to me to join PELTAC as Organizing Committee (OC) expecially thinking of the 80 lives that we gave impact on for the betterment of their future…  On the way,  I learned that, no department can work without another department…  and a department can’t really be strong if none of us gives enough cooperation.  I don’t know about other departments but I’m happy that the Prog. Dept. members were very good with each other and there were no problems between each of our members.  PELTAC 2012 was awesome and I will alwaz remember you guys….  The experience I gained along the way for the past 1 year plus is priceless and I know I can’t get it anywhere else…  I’m happy to have met you guys and I hope that PELTAC will become bigger and bigger to change more lives.

Yes, it was tiring especially during preparation week and during PELTAC but I’m happy that it all went well…  I feel the satisfaction after everything we’ve been through…  Now it feel a bit weird…  going back to my room with no PELTAC stuffs to do…  No need to urgently check my mails to see if there is any speakers needed to be contacted.  The past 2 weeks has alwaz been about PELTAC….  I got so used to being in the committee of PELTAC that now it feels so empty without PELTAC…  It’s like, you’re in a relationship for 1 year plus, and then suddenly you break up… That’s how it feels for me…

But then again, it’s not the end of the world…  I pray and hope PELTAC 2013 will be better than this and more people will see how PELTAC can change lives.  All in all, it was a great experience…  On behalf of Programme Dept., I thank Praba for your assistance towards the Programme Department…. We would definitely be lost without your guidance… You’re a good leader and a great friend!  Thank you!

END OF PELTAC 2012

PELTAC…. RANGERS!!!!!!!

PELTAC 2012 ended successfully on 17th February 2012! Great experience in all.

Day 1 (12/2/2012)
Let me start with the first day…. We had Group Activity (GA) which included ice-breakers, team & trust building.  All the group names were taken from POWER RANGERS  =)
Later that night, we had the opening ceremony in Dewan Kolej Perdana (DKP).  A lot of great food…. Awesome…  Live performance with Dennis Walter, William & Kiho (Kang Chian) singing Together W e Are One (my solo),  Fall For You (William & Kiho duet), Lucky (duet with Kiho) & Perfect (Trio)… AWESOME PERFORMANCE… AND THANKS A LOT TO OUR AWESOME GUITARISTS!!!! Man, you guys are like professionals!!!  Maybe you will be someday!

Day 2 (13/2/2012)
We had workshop on leadership by Mr. Ricky Wong followed by Cashflow later which then proceeded with Public Speaking.  And one of the highlights for that night was Night Station Games….  We tried hard to make sure it would go well but it was somewhat a mess up even though some participants said it was nice…. It was so spy related with the CIA involved… hehe…. Thanks to watching too much of CHUCK!  I have to admit that I cried when I saw how messed up it got…  How could I not cry when it’s supposed to be one of the most perfect activities in PELTAC 2012?!  But thanks to my department’s SC, Praba, he was there to comfort…. =)  Also, thanks to the committee who gave the Programme Department motivation to continue moving on regardless of what happened….  After all, we did learn from our mistakes. =)

Day 3 (14/2/2012)
Thanks to our mistakes made the day before, we had everything under control on Day 3…  Minimum dependence on Praba or the SCs….  Workshop on creativity and workshop by Mrs. Hanim Awab went well!  Such a romantic atmosphere for Valentine’s Day! Thank you Mrs. Hanim! =)
Later we had final phase for public speaking and then proceeded with BBQ at night…  BBQ was great… So awesome at Balai Cerap…. Nice view!  Thanks to Windy!!! You were great there!

Day 4 (15/2/2012)
In the morning we had GA 4: Don’t Break Ranks conducted by Deiv….  Those participants were very creative coming up with their ship =)
Later on, we had workshops titled ‘Take Charge’ and ‘Get That Job’ by Mr. Mohd. Rizal Hassan… STOP BANGAU-ING, PEOPLE!!!  Then we had debate session at N24… It was raining, so we actually had to transport all the participants by car…  it was hectic…  seriously…   then we wrapped up the day with movie night…  3 halls: The Secret, The Pursuit of Happyness & Temple Grandin…  Great to hear that the participants liked it and learned something from the movies…  And they simply loved how it felt cuz we made it look very similar to the real cinema……  Woo-hoo… That’s the whole point!
But while they were watching the movies, the OCs were actually having OC Performance practice… What the…..???  Dah penat r time tu…..

Oh, yes… and did I mention?  My body temperature was quite high…  Actually I didn’t really care about my temperature….  Sick or not, I had to be strong….  Those participants paid for a great camp….  After all, whether my body was feeling hot or not, I’m alwaz already hot, sexy and beautiful! LOL! =)

Day 5 (16/2/2012)
The day’s highlight was extreme sports or we renamed it to “It’s Morphing Time!”  Activities included deer counting, canoeing, archery and some activities at equine park.  Later on, we had participants performance…. I was so impressed by their very good performance which they prepared in a matter of days!  The participants were really awesome.
At night, we had our closing ceremony which lasted less than 20 minutes… Wow!  Thanks to the IT Department, the closing ceremony video was awesome!!!  So real, so 3D…. That video can get you some cash in your pocket, man!
After that, we had our sharing session….  As one of the programme department officers, I was glad that the participants enjoyed the camp and learned a lot of things from PELTAC 2012….  It’s not easy organizing a camp to change the lives of 80 people….

Also, thanks a lot to all the SCs and OCs who helped in organizing this camp successfully… The Programme Department thanks you for your support, and guidance…. Especially our Director, Mr. Yap Sze Yong, Koo Suet Ching, Khu Say Li, Chengxu & Ban for our taking care of our welfare…. Last but not least, our SC MR. PRABAKARAN SUBRAMANIAM =)
